Community Survey Open thru Nov. 25


Northwest Education Services (North Ed) is in the process of finding a new superintendent who will succeed Dr. Nick Ceglarek following his retirement in 2025.

Please consider providing input through this community survey to help us gather perspective on the qualities and characteristics our community wants to see in the next superintendent. Our search consultant, Michigan Leadership Institute, will use this data to help draft a candidate profile.

Search Calendar


Nov. 5, 2024:  North Ed Board Approval of Michigan Leadership Institute as superintendent search firm.

Nov.18-19, 2024:  MLI begins focus group discussions. Community survey is finalized and posted.

Early January 2025:  Official job description is posted.

February 2025:  Review and vetting of applicants.

March 2025:  Candidates presented to North Ed Board and interview process begins.

Late March 2025:  Board decision and offer is made to selected candidate.

July 1, 2025:  New superintendent start date.

July – September 2025:  MLI supports transition and new superintendent acclimation.
