Food Services

Overview

Northwest Education Services partners with Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) to offer healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch meals to students in all of our North Ed special education programs.

We understand the impact that access to healthy food has on student learning. This year, we are pleased to announce that all North Ed program students will have access to free breakfast and lunch each school day, due to extended State of Michigan legislation.

For more information about food services provided by TCAPS, please visit TCAPS Food and Nutrition Services

Diet Accommodations

For students who require special diets or meal accommodations, please contact your school nurse or school administrator to complete the necessary paperwork. All Special Diet Statements for North Ed students must be sent to the student’s North Ed program so program staff are aware of student needs, enabling them to assist with compliance with dietary restrictions/accommodations. North Ed program staff will pass on the documentation to the appropriate TCAPS Food Service Staff.

Menus

TCAPS Food Service posts the menus for North Ed students online. Please be aware that due to supply chain disruptions and food shortages they may have to unexpectedly substitute food items that are posted on the menu. You can find the school menus online at My School Menus

When you go to that site, you will be asked to input the name of your school and the menu you would like to view.

The name of the school will be Northwest Education Services.

The menus will be listed for each site where North Ed programs are located. Please look for the location of your child’s particular program (West HS, Central HS, Creekside, Life Skills Center, etc.).
