Student Emergency Resource Fund

Throughout the school year North Ed staff often encounter a student in critical need of support with assistive technology tools, specialized equipment and basic health, safety or physical needs. The Student Emergency Resource Fund (SERF) helps provide food, temporary shelter, clothing, basic health care, equipment or transportation assistance to those with immediate or unique needs so they can stay engaged in school and thrive.

Tools of the Trade Fund

Many graduates plan to go directly into the world of work, using the skills acquired through program participation and training at North Ed. In many instances, employers require new hires to have their own set of tools before they start the job. For some, this can be an insurmountable obstacle. Donations to the Tools of the Trade Fund help these students obtain good-paying jobs.

Scholarship Fund

The North Ed Foundation aims to help students who dream of attending college or a trade school achieve those goals regardless of their family's financial situation. The Scholarship Fund was established to help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books and other expenses needed to attend a postsecondary trade school, community college, or a four-year college or university. Donations can be for general scholarship fund use, or they can be earmarked for particular fields of study or attendance at a specific postsecondary institution.

Undesignated Giving

The North Ed Foundation offers flexibility for donors. Give to one of our three designated funds or leave your donation undesignated to be applied to an area of greatest need. Either way, your gift with help hard working students gain the support needed to take that next step with confidence.
